Heather Maloney started Definition Design LLC in 2006 as a interiors consulting business and has grown the company to a full time passion that spans residential interiors, commercial interiors, product design and curation.

During her career, Heather has been instrumental in the development of start up hotel brands such as Equinox Hotels, Journal Hotels, Eaton Hotels, Chelsea Hotels, and King & Grove Hotels. She brought her luxury residential experience to the world of chic lifestyle properties and developed design standards and stories that provided robust depth of detail and practical implementation.

In addition to her experience with start up hotel companies, Ms. Maloney previously worked as Director of Design at Morgans Hotel Group ; Vice President of Design and Development, Furniture at Restoration Hardware, and Director of Hospitality Projects at David Easton Inc.  In 2010, Ms. Maloney was honored to be named to the Boutique Design “Boutique 18”.  In 2013, Ms. Maloney was a Hospitality Design “Wave of the Future” honoree for young designers that are considered visionary and accomplished.
